Surreal Madrid rolled to a convincing victory over Revengers' Tragedy.
The visiting team had a poor start when first round pick Dr Beardface the Treeman threw an illegal block before the whistle, getting himself sent off. The match was not entirely wasted for the budding star however as he still picked up an MVP award at games end.
Madrid couldn't capitalise however, whilst Gnkyrk the Unpronounceable blitzed into the backfield, Tragedy's skaven thrower Sir Squeaksalot still managed to deliver a pinpoint pass in to the hands of Michael J Fox, who had used his speed to break away down the pitch. The werewolf confidently ran in the opening score.
On the return drive Madrid started to wear down their opponents, despite losing Gnkyrk to the claws of the increasingly impressive Michael J Fox, Big Bob and Bakaara exerted their authority and though star Gutter Runner Professor Squeak was knocked over more than once, he wouldn't stay down, and managed to run in the equaliser before the half.
The second half was more of the same from the Madrid side, as they wittled down the remaining number of opponents. Again Tragedy almost managed to break the play up, Dead Head taking a Snack Break at a highly inopportune moment was their best chance. But they couldn't quite swing things to their advantage and the inexorable flow of Madrid into the endzone could not be halted.
With just enough time left on the clock for a reply, Sir Squeaksalot crumbled under the pressure, fumbling the ball deep in his own half and calling time on any meaningful action.
