28th Resplendent Fire
Lady Nightshade arrives at Tredemin after her long journey tracking down her fiance. She announces her arrival and is somewhat disconcerted by the response that Ferric may not be the King after all. however he does seem to be a person of some import, so perhaps it is not too bad. more vexing is the news that he left on a journey of his own almost two months ago, heading east apparantly, though no one seems to know where.
A small group of seemingly unimportant travellers has recently arrived, and seem to know something about ferric. not enough to fill in much detail, but by hearsay he has collegues working in nexus, that are expecting to hear from the rulers of tredemin in the near future. Lady Nightshade is annoyed but resolves to wait a few days, in case she can meet someone in charge, before deciding to head to Nexus to track down these colleagues.
1st Descending Fire
As luck would have it she does not have to wait too long. She stomps around the palace for most of the day. Late in the evening Kairos, Kieron and Raiden arrive home. They are exhausted though and all head straight to bed. That night Kieron, Raiden and Lady Nightshade (as well as Azir back in Nexus) all have a strange dream. It is unclear, and all that really stays with them is a little imagery and a strange tune. Kairos has a much clearer and very different dream.
2nd Descending Fire
Lady Nightshade manages to arrange an audience with Kairos, and through the course of the conversation her true nature is revealed. The rest of the day is spent putting the affairs of the kingdom in order and preparing to head to Nexus. However as dusk falls Kairos' dream proves upsettingly prescient as his wife, now entering her third trimester is taken ill. Recruiting Grey Wolf to send an infallible messenger, he summons Azir with all possible haste. but an overpowering need to sleep claims the rest of the solars and Kairos is left to fret alone over night.
3rd Descending Fire
Azir arrives, later than seems likely, as the irrestible sleep forced him to delay slightly during his journey. But his superbly skilled though surprisingly time consuming ministrations save the queen's life, she will have to remain bedridden for the remainder of her pregnancy at least. Kairos indicates that his dream has revealed that his place is here, in Tredemin, whilst his companions must venture onwards. It comes to light that the other four solars have been having what seems to be a shared dream. Though the details are still tantalisingly beyond their reach. Preparations are made for a remembarance ceremony for the two fallen Solars, though the funerals have already taken place.
4th Descending Fire
The rememberance ceremony is conducted and the Solars gather to discuss their future plans. As further clues begin to surface from the dreams, a more detailed analysis of Kairos dream indicates that Nexus is the logical place for them to head next, and since Azir also has much to show them there preparations are made for departure. Lady Nightshade, Azir, Grey Wolf and Raiden wave goodbye to Kairos and head to Nexus, arriving late and heading to their old apartments for sleeping purposes.
5th Descending Fire
Snatches of phrases from the dream now staying with them the Solars are shown the new areas opened up to them by Azir and their fallen comrades. full catch up on all that has happened since they last saw each other takes place and lady nightshade explains her own story. Azir takes the group back into Nexus to point out some of the places relevant to the stories of the skulls and the dark exalts.
anticipating more dreams and planning to head back to the manses the next day the four solars have one final night in nexus proper.
6th Descending Fire
The dream is now fully resolved, and the solars gather in the morning to discuss what they now know and to head back towards the sky manse now that azir has prepared more of the heat resistant balm. this conversation is the one we will do on the boards.
